In the meantime, fortunately, there are plenty of alternatives that are terribly good and useful at displaying keywords, content ideas and volumes.
Because I'm sure you're done with Keyword Planner too, and because I'm sure you want to know what tools are out there, here I have 10 free and paid tools for you that are better than Google Keyword Planner (in no particular order).
I want to start this blog with a bang! My favorite keyword analysis tool, and therefore actually the best alternative to the Google Keyword Planner, is KWFinder. I love this tool so much that I even wrote a full KWfinder review about it.
KWFinder is completely free to use, but for a measly €29 per month you can take advantage of all the tool's features and also get access to four other useful SEO tools.
Highly recommended.
The advantage of KWFinder is that you really get all the information you need. Think keywords, the trend, expected CPC, volume, keyword difficulty, SERPs, related keywords, queries with the keyword in them and an "autocomplete" feature.
In addition, KWFinder is by far the most user-friendly, fast and never has any problems. In other words, KWFinder is a very good alternative to Google's Keyword Planner!

SEMrush, like MOZ and Ahrefs, is much more than just a keyword analysis tool. You can actually extract all the SEO information you need to rank better and beat your competitors.
And to be perfectly honest, Semrush is kind of my most favorite all-in-one SEO tool.
SEMrush can be purchased starting at $99.95 per month (if you pay annually) and can be thought of as a true all-in-one SEO tool. SEMrush has chosen the name "Keyword Research" for its keyword tool and provides information on organic traffic, paid traffic, CPC distribution, trend, long tail keywords, related keywords and the SERPS.
Both MOZ and SEMrush are perfect replacements for the Google Keyword Tool, although SEMrush is my absolute favorite.

Keywordtool.io claims on its website to be the best alternative to the Google Keyword planner and all other keyword analysis tools.
I don't quite agree with that.
It is an incredibly useful tool that can also tell you volumes within YouTube, Bing, Amazon, Ebay, Play Store, Instagram and Twitter. Unfortunately, the free version is not enough, so you will have to pay at least $69 dollars a month to get the full potential.
By the way, that's a lot of money for just a keyword analysis tool.
The big advantage of Keywordtool.io, though, is that you can enter negative keywords and filter conveniently.
Ahrefs is by far the best tool on earth when it comes to link building, but don't underestimate the Keyword Explorer! Ahrefs provides all the information you need. Think difficulty, volume, suggestions, SERPs, queries, keywords you're ranking for as well, and related keywords. In addition, you can find out volumes not only within Google, but also within YouTube, Amazon, Bing, Yahoo, Yandex, Baidu, Daum, Naver and Seznam.
If your main focus is link building, then I would definitely go for Ahrefs! Because the combination of link building + the Keyword Explorer makes it an ideal replacement for the Google Keyword Planner.
Prices for Ahrefs start at €89 per month if you pay per year.
Answer The Public was the content tool that went viral in 2018. Logical too, when you see what the tool can do and how many content ideas you get. Answer The Public is completely free to use, but do you want to get more out of it and select by region, for example? Then you need a paid account
Anwers The Public was bought over by Neil Patel a not too long time ago, and as a result, the tool and pricing structure has changed and thus can be used from as little as $9 per month.
MOZ has been passed over in this article before and is similar to SEMrush. Not only is MOZ's keyword analysis tool similar to SEMrush, but actually the whole program an sich.
The advantage of MOZ is that the software program is really incredibly clear and very user-friendly. In addition, you get all the information you need: Keyword Difficulty, organic CTR, keyword suggestions and a SERP analysis.
MOZ's keyword analysis tool has the same name as Ahrefs' Keyword Explorer and you can use it starting at $79 per month if you pay per year.
To get right to the point: Google Trends is not an alternative to Google's keyword planner, but is more of a supplement to your keyword analysis.
With Google Trends, you can see for free which words are hot in which countries. So you can see exactly how often a word is searched for, in which country and in which region, and easily find out related searches.
As terrible as the name is, the tool is useful! Like Google Trends, Keyword Sheeter is a good supplement and not a complete replacement. Keyword Shitter is completely free to use and provides you with as many related keywords as possible.
All you then have to do is throw those related keywords into a Google Keyword Planner alternative of your choosing and determine which keywords are of interest....
A child can do the laundry!
Mergewords is ideal for finding out about local SEO opportunities. Unfortunately, you don't get to see volumes, so you have to combine this tool with KWFinder or Ubersuggest, for example.
The name actually gives it away, but with Mergewords you can merge all your words for free. Very handy if, for example, you want to know the volume of "Plumber + all cities in Gelderland." No need to manually type a list then, because Mergewords automatically creates it for you.
Just need to check those combined terms for volume and competition.
Ps. Did you know that we also created a similar tool with OMA? It's called the OMA Wordmerger
Ubersuggest is a completely free keyword analysis tool that is one of the few also available in Dutch. It is an incredibly fine program with a clear layout.
Per searches, you get hundreds of suggestions and related search terms. Including competitors, chances of ranking in the top 20 and much more. If you are starting out with SEO or finding out about keywords, Ubersuggest is one of the best tools you can start with.
Since Ubersuggest is incredibly comprehensive for what you pay (Nothing, that is), it is, in my opinion, the best free alternative to the Google Keyword Planner.

The Google Keyword Planner is a tool that gives you insight into data for certain keywords. You can see how often a particular keyword is searched for each month, what the competition is and approximately what you should offer if you want to advertise for that keyword. Useful for your content marketing, SEO and SEA!
To use the Google Keyword Planner, you need a Google Ads account. If you are logged into Google Ads, you will find the Keyword Planner under Tools and Settings > Planning > Keyword Planner. Note! You also need to be running a campaign with (low) budget to see precise data.
Google Keyword Planner is used primarily to do keyword research. Among other things, the tool helps you discover new keywords, check the monthly search volume of a variety of search terms and determine how much budget you should free up for fruitful campaign targeting those keywords.
Google's own Keyword Planner is unfortunately not very accurate. This is because search volumes are rounded to predetermined tens, hundreds and thousands. And if you don't have an active campaign, you only see an estimated range (say, 10k-100k searches per month). That makes quite a difference!

Hello,
Why can't I use Keyword Shitter?
Then perhaps the program was temporarily not working! It does work for me.
