Should you be looking for an alternative or replacement to MOZ, don't miss this list. In addition to the three best SEO tools mentioned earlier, I have other alternatives to MOZ that are worth considering.
SEMrush, like MOZ, was an all-in-one SEO tool. But now SEMrush is much more than that. It has become a complete marketing platform/toolkit that can also support you with advertising, social media, content marketing and more.
MOZ has been outpaced by SEMrush in a number of areas in recent years:
Should you really want to dominate online and already have some knowledge? Then you should go for SEMrush. You can get an awful lot out of this and the software is an asset to any organization.
In doing so, I want to give you two tips:
1. Get started with SEMrush only if you already have some basic knowledge.
2. Take the time to add your website(s) correctly and to make SEMrush your own.
You can purchase SEMrush starting as low as $83 per month (if you pay annually). But to be perfectly honest, that's a pittance when you see what you can do with it.
As I mentioned earlier, SEMrush is the best alternative to MOZ, but there are two exceptions to the rule when SEMrush is not the best alternative to MOZ. I'll tell you those after the image below.
If you read my blogs, then you know that I am a huge fan of Mangools and KWFinder. This is because they are affordable SEO software that is finely designed, contains everything you need to have and is incredibly easy to use.
Mangools, in my opinion, is the SEO software to use when you are just starting out with SEO or when you don't have the budget to go for SEMrush. When you purchase Mangools ' software, you get access to as many as five different tools:
With these five tools, you can do everything you need to do within SEO without the need for any other software. Add to that the fact that Mangools is 60% cheaper than SEMrush and MOZ, and you have the ideal software for entrepreneurs and start-up marketers.
I've said it before, but I'm going to say it again: When it comes to link building, Ahrefs is by far the best tool on earth. It has by far the largest database and displays the information that really matters.
But in addition to link building, Ahrefs offers much more. For example, it also has a Keywords Explorer, a Site Audit, a Rank Tracker, a Content Explorer and more. In other words, everything that MOZ also has. And so that makes Ahrefs a great alternative.
Having just been so positive about SEMrush and Mangools, I can hear you thinking, "So when should you choose Ahrefs? Well, especially if you do a lot of link building and therefore you have a lot of experience with SEO.
So how should you choose between Ahrefs and SEMrush? By testing them both and seeing which one suits you best.
SEO Powersuite is unique in this list. In fact, SEO Powersuite is not a website that you use online, it is SEO software that you download and install on your computer or laptop.
SEO Powersuite is a real powerhouse (I liked saying that) and can support you within every area of SEO . It consists of several tools:
The combination of these tools is not inferior to MOZ, and since SEO Powersuite even has a free variant as well, it makes it a good alternative to MOZ.
SEO Powersuite's payment model is also unique. You don't pay per month, but you purchase a license for an entire year. Only go for the 'Enterprise' plan if you are a marketer or have your own marketing agency.
I wrote my very first software review about Serpstat. I had purchased Serpstat through a deal from Appsumo and fell in love fairly quickly.
For about $40, I had more than enough features. I was satisfied. Now that we are almost 2 years down the road, Serpstat is no longer enough for me. Serpstat is still more affordable than MOZ and SEMrush, but what you get out of the tool is a bit less comprehensive. SEMrush is simply a lot more complete.
Serpstat can therefore be seen more as a competitor to Mangools, but less pretty, less easy to use and less information.
