Bonjour!!! My name is Thom van Wanrooij. I work at OMA as an online marketer and in my spare time I like to drum a few numbers, hang out in the gym or you can find me behind a screen again for a fanatical game of FIFA, Call of Duty or a race on the digital circuits of Formula 1. I also like to make it a party on the weekends! You can then find me in the pub or at a festival with some crazy dance moves.

Vacations, always one of the highlights of the year! (Curaçao)

What are your hobbies?

Like I said, I can be found at the gym a few nights a week. I regularly beat my drum kit to the best rock music and I like to end the day with a game of gaming or a good series. If you have any good recommendations on Netflix, Amazon Prime or HBO Max, let me know.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years, I'll be all in and enjoying a slightly too strong cocktail on the beach at one of my many homes in the Bahamas every day. If this doesn't work out, a nice marketing job where I enjoy going to every day wouldn't hurt either.

What do you like to do on weekends?

Besides resting from all the hard work at OMA, I like to make a party of it on the weekends. Chilling out with friends, getting my feet up here and there at a festival or concert, and on Sunday stretching out on the couch in front of Formula 1.

What is your favorite social media channel?

Obviously YouTube. I can get completely lost in videos of things that interest me. Videos about gaming, sports, the most insane food-challenges and the best drum covers ... you never get bored.

What is your favorite music?

I listen to all kinds of things! On Spotify, I have a really special playlist that ranges from house and techno to pop and rock. For example, I'm a fan of Oliver Heldens and Imagine Dragons, but also Foo Fighters and John Mayer. Exactly, that goes in all directions.

What is your favorite travel destination?

I don't really have one favorite destination, there are so many beautiful places in this world. I want to see as many of them as possible! By the way, taking a three-week round trip through the west coast of America is highly recommended.

How did you like your first week at OMA?

Top! Right away it was old-fashioned fun among all OMA's. The atmosphere in the team is good and the level of knowledge of online marketing even better.

What is your role within OMA?

Online marketer. In that role, I deal with all parts of online marketing: from SEO and SEA to content and technical optimization. So do you need help getting found in Google or improving your website? You're welcome to give me a call.

What is your specialty within OMA?

For now, I'm more of an all-rounder. Especially to learn a lot of everything and keep the day varied!
