She is the Office Manager at OMA, in other words, the unofficial lawyer/detective/event planner/psychologist/career planner and teacher.
And we love her because she knows all our secrets!

I was born and raised in (municipality of) Ede and have recently been living with my family in a new housing estate on the former Kazerneterrein. A lovely place near the woods and heathland. You can find me here often. Walking or cycling (or mountain biking). Furthermore, I am a social animal and like to have people around me. Just for a nice dinner, a drink or a deep conversation into the night.

What are your hobbies?

We love to travel, a hobby that got a little out of hand. Once a year we visit a new city somewhere in Europe. In the summer every year we take a big trip to a new destination far outside Europe. We have already visited all parts of the world, but there is always plenty left to discover. So it's nice to go on an adventure. You can't make me happier!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I just started at OMA so then of course I still hope to work here. My position here is Office Manager, but I also find marketing very interesting. So in the meantime I also hope to learn something from all my colleagues here. In addition, I have my own business and work as a Virtual Assistant, which can be further developed. Finally, I also have another fun idea to set up as a business, so I have plenty to do in the next 5 years!

What do you like to do on weekends?

We like to head out on weekends to discover a new place in the Netherlands. A nice city or a beautiful piece of nature, for example. We then like to finish that off with a nice dinner.
But I also enjoy binge-watching every now and then. Lounging on the couch with some delicious snacks, I am always up for it!

What is your favorite social media channel?

On Instagram you can really find me every day. I'm not on Facebook much anymore, although some groups are still fun there. I have a Facebook group for female entrepreneurs from Ede. It's always nice to put ideas or questions there. TikTok I feel too old for. By the time I might start that, it will probably be 'out' again. Haha!

What is your favorite music?

I like pop rock and trance. I have often been to Lowlands and Pinkpop for the more alternative music and to Dance Valley and Sensation for the dancing. I also like to go to concerts, Coldplay's and U2's concerts anyway, if I can get a ticket... As for radio, I often listen to Qmusic, Radio538 or NPO Radio 2.

What is your favorite travel destination?

Ugh, because we travel so much I get this question quite often and it is so hard to answer. I love Bali for its relaxed, tropical atmosphere and delicious (vegetarian) food. But I also really love the Philippines because the beautiful country is mega diverse and there are still very few tourists. But the adventure trip through Africa was also cool and America with its beautiful national parks and wonderful shopping cities is also fun ... I really can't choose!

How did you like your first month at OMA?

Very good, nice to join such a young company. Before I started at OMA, I worked mostly at larger companies. I notice that here it is much more personal and the tasks are more all-round. It's an interesting industry with a hardworking team that also gives me energy right away!

What will be your role within OMA?

Being the Office Manager/PA, I help Daniel create a clear work structure
and to keep everything streamlined throughout the team. So I deal with internal processes, internal development, HR, accounting, administration, facilities support and so on. Daniel has created a whole list of various tasks for me to take on. I'm a real de-clutterer and rule sniffer, so that will all work out.

What do you want to learn at OMA?

One of the tasks I have been given is to set up Human Resources. The company is growing; there are 11 of us now. My goal is to support Daniel in this and also be there for the employees with questions about the rules, regulations, etc. But I also want to be there as a confidant. That part is new for me. I'm currently looking into it and am really enjoying taking this on!
