This is how I created my own NFT (via OpenSea)

This puppet I want to offer experimentally as an NFT. Because NFTs and crypto are going to have a huge impact on the world in the coming years.

And thus impact the marketing landscape.

In a previously written blog, I mentioned what NFTs are and how they can affect SEO.

In this article, I'm going to take a more practical approach. Namely, I'm going to show you how to offer something like NFT yourself.

What is an NFT?

Would you like to:

• Want to fully own an item from a game and be able to sell it (and thus make a profit )?
• Want verified ownership of digital products created by you (and thus be able to sell it as one-of-a-kind)?
• Would you like to have a piece of art that belonged to your idol?
• Want to buy a home without a real estate agent you have to pay handsomely?

If the answer to any of these questions is "yes," then NFTs are for you. Before I explain what NFTs are, let me also tell you a bit about blockchain.

The blockchain is a kind of digital ledger that contains all transactions, deals and agreements in an encrypted and non-hackable way.

Now that you know that. I'm going to tell you what an NFT is (a non-fungible token).
In the world of blockchain, it is often said to be digital assets (a better word is assets, but that may be a little more difficult to understand) like Bitcoin, but it is more than that. In this article, we will not go into all aspects and views on how to view blockchain. Opinions are divided on that as well.

A Bitcoin can be thought of as a digital currency. Each coin is the same and exchangeable for each other. When you give a Bitcoin and get it back, you don't know if it is the same one or a different one.

You can think of an NFT as a ticket to a soccer game that is in your name. Yes, the ticket has value. But it cannot be exchanged with your neighbor's ticket because it is in your name. But it can be sold by putting it in someone else's name.
So you can think of NFT as a kind of contract or certificate of authenticity that comes with an image, a house or a piece of digital art, for example. This shows that you are the only real owner.

Today, NFTs are often about digital art. For example, an image. But in the future, everything is going to be through NFTs.

Selling a house, publishing a book, publishing music, and more.

On what websites can you offer an NFT all (OpenSea, rarible, etc.)

Selling NFTs is currently done through so-called NFT marketplaces. A kind of marketplace for NFTs.

Right now, these are (to me) the best NFT marketplaces out there:

For me it all started with OpenSea. And since OpenSea works incredibly easily, big names are using OpenSea, and since I have a good understanding of how OpenSea works myself, I'm now going to show you how to submit your NFT to OpenSea.

In 5 steps to offer your NFT at OpenSea

I'm assuming for now that you have something you want to offer as an NFT. With me, that's the very first illustration ever made of me.

I just put this one on a nice eye-catching background color to make it stand out a bit more.

Next, you need to create an account with OpenSea. You can do that by going to the OpenSea website.

If you click on the top rightmost icon, you can create your account. Since NFTs on OpenSea are paid with the cryptocurrency Ethereum, you must also have a digital wallet for this.

If your NFT is sold, that's where the money is deposited. Within OpenSea, we work with MetaMask (That's your digital wallet. Also called a wallet. How to install and use MetaMask is conveniently explained here.

I could have explained that again here, but MetaMask does that on their own website much better than I can.

If you also have MetaMask installed, then you have an OpenSea account and it's time to create the NFT.

Step 1: Click 'Create' at the top right.

Step 2: Click on "Create" under "Create new collection.

Step 3: add the document, fill in the 'name' and fill in the 'description'.

Your collection within OpenSea has been created. We are now going to add the various items.

Step 4: Click on "Add New Item.

Step 5: Fill in all the information that is about your NFT. Think about the image, name, etc. and click 'Create'.

Here's how to sell an NFT through OpenSea

So! Your NFT can be found on OpenSea. All you need to do now is sell it. You can do this by going to the NFT and then clicking 'Sell'.

Next, fill in the methods and prerequisites of selling. For example:

• The prize
• How long the NFT has been for sale
• Whether the price is fixed or not

Then click "Post Your Listing" and accept the invitation via the MetaMask wallet.

And this is how easy it is to create and sell an NFT! Now anyone can bid on your artwork.
