Tutorial: How to create an account for Marketplace Advertising.

Advertising on Marketplace may sound crazy - visitors are looking for used stuff, right? This is an assumption! Visitors on Marktplaats are simply looking for products ... and so are new products.

So, time to start advertising. What options are there? You can go to Admarkt on Marktplaats business or you can go straight to Pro Admarkt. We'll explain.

Creating a marketplace account

Under the guise of "kicking down open doors": you need a Marketplace account. Sounds logical, but still. So we go to marktplaats.nl. At the top of the screen, you'll see "Login." Click this, create your account and presto. It even gives you the option to do this through Google or Facebook, should you want to.

Creating a Marktplaats (Pro) Admarkt account

To take it a step further, we now turn to the business side of Marktplaats: https://www.marktplaatszakelijk.nl/. On Marktplaats Business, you can choose from: "Advertise cars" or "Advertise products and services." We will go for the latter in this example. Click on "Start immediately". Here you will see two options: Standard and Pro.

If you click on "Start with standard," you will create a normal Marketplace account that you can advertise on. They call this the "Admarkt," but it's nothing special.

If you click Start with Pro, you will be taken to the one screen with two options:

How can I upgrade to the Marketplace Pro Admarkt?

You can easily upgrade to Marktplaats Pro Admarkt on the website. Even if you already have an Admarkt account. You fill in your details and agree to the terms and conditions. This process goes a lot faster if you have your Chamber of Commerce number ready.
