New website and SEO/SEA strategy: 100+ leads in 6 months

For Golden Wood, we brought in more than 100 leads in 6 months. To do this, we first created a new website and then put full effort into SEA and SEO.

Although we are not yet fully up to speed on SEO, we have already managed to capture some nice top positions in Google. In doing so, local landing pages are scoring especially well.

Where the challenge lay for Golden Wood and what we did to achieve the goals, read about it in this case study!

Review Ali Ozer
"I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for our collaboration on my website. I am very happy with the result and would like to thank the team OMA for their excellent service and professionalism throughout the process."
Ali Ozer - Owner of Golden Wod

Objective:

Golden Wood was already bringing in leads through social media (LinkedIn and Facebook), but not yet through SEO and SEA. In addition, the old website still looked good, but it did not do what it was supposed to do: bring in leads. There was also no thought given to SEO or conversion. Keywords were not used, products did not stand out and there were too few buttons.

That had to be better.

The challenge

The challenge at Golden Wood was to start "from scratch. Nothing had been done on SEO or SEA. No keywords were used in the texts, there were no top 10 positions and the website did not meet our standards. So we had to invest heavily to lay a good foundation and get things up and running.

Fortunately, Golden Wood did bring in leads using LinkedIn and Facebook, so it was no big deal that the startup would take 3 to 6 months. Besides, because of the reach through social media, a website often starts doing well faster, too. After all, there is already name recognition.

Another challenge was that Golden Wood is at the upper end of the market when it comes to price and quality. So potential customers had to be well informed and convinced. We mainly had to do that ourselves, because Golden Wood was very busy and had no time or knowledge to get started with online marketing itself.

OMA was thus fully responsible for both strategy and execution.

Work performed

We started working together in Q4 of 2022 and by the end of Q1 of 2023 the new website was up and running. Since Q1 2023, we have been working monthly for Golden Wood, focusing mainly on SEO and SEA.

These are all the work we have picked up:

  • Keyword analysis
  • Setting up structure
  • Redirects
  • Building WordPress website
  • Technical optimization
  • Content creation (blogs and landing pages)
  • Setting up Google Ads
  • Setting up Pinterest
  • Website maintenance

Results

Unfortunately, because Golden Wood had not had the old website for very long and no Google Analytics (4) had been used, there is no comparison material. Nevertheless, we can say that the marketing machine is running and there is now a website that is generating leads every month.

After a few months, we knew we were on the right track, as the first requests for garden rooms and canopies were in and already paid for.

In total, we ended up bringing in 100+ leads in the first 6 months. Think forms, calls, WhatsApp conversations and emails. Of course, this includes a few low-quality leads, but there are also plenty of dream clients who contacted us.

In fact, with a few quality clients, we were able to pull out our budget for the whole year in just a few months. Pretty fast, in other words!
