To achieve this, we created relevant texts, optimized the website and looked closely at the competition. Meanwhile, the SEO is fully up to speed and even competitors are contacting us because Hammink is so easy to find.

The objective was actually very simple: to get more customers into the store. We couldn't describe it any simpler.
As crazy as it sounds, but at Hammink Fietsplezier there was not really a very big challenge. That's because there was already a nice basis (read: a nice website), because the competitors were not doing anything with local SEO and because Hammink Fietsplezier is already a well-known name in the region.
What was a challenge, of course, was that a bike store has to make it through the summer. So because we started in January, we did have limited time.
On the other hand, in the cold months it is very quiet in a bicycle store. Therefore, we also have to look critically at the hours we do and don't make.
On January 1, 2023, we started SEO. And good SEO, of course, starts with the basics.
We first focused on technology and then moved on to other parts. Consider:
The most important result, of course, is that Hammink Fietsplezier had a good summer. But of course that can also be traced in part to the online marketing results.
And when we talk about SEO, of course it's about positions in Google. By now we have 2000+ keywords in Google and at least 30 top 3 positions on local keywords.
This generates nearly 1,500 organic visitors per month and also 150+ relevant conversions (completed contact forms and clicks on the phone number or email address)
And that's without link building or other advanced SEO strategies.
As a local business owner, it can certainly pay off to bet on local SEO. And while you can do much more with online marketing in addition to that, it is often not possible to fully utilize all channels immediately.
You usually don't have the time or budget for that. But if the website is running well, you can slowly think about expanding your marketing strategy. And that's why we're already making plans for Hammink to start with an additional channel.
