10 questions for Nicole de Boer

Last year, she earned her master's degree in Commercial Communication from Radboud University and as of December 1, she started at OMA. We are of course talking about Nicole. Nicole will fully focus on everything related to online marketing.

Question 1: Who is Nicole?

I am 23 years old and was born in Zutphen. Five years ago I fell in love with Nijmegen and I have enjoyed living there ever since. I grew up in a family of 5 with an older sister and a twin sister. I am a social person who is always in for a good time. Whether that's a game night, a party or just chatting with a cup of coffee and cake, it doesn't matter!

Question 2: What are your hobbies?

I really enjoy cooking, mainly because I have a passion for good food. In addition, I am a real game fanatic. Playing dice, cards, or board games with friends is a perfect evening for me, and especially when combined with a well-stocked drinks board. I also love to play sports. So after the summer I started playing soccer in a friends team which also brings a lot of fun.

Question 3: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years, I will have advanced as an online marketing specialist at OMA. I will then know all the ins and outs of websites, SEO, SEA and social media. In addition, I hope to be warm in my own home with a sweet dog. I will also have crossed a trip to Iceland off my bucket list by then.

Question 4: What do you like to do on weekends?

On the weekends, I like to have lunch with friends, go to parties, go for walks or visit my parents and dog. On Sundays I can often be found on the soccer field (and in the canteen).

Question 5: What is your favorite social media channel?

My favorite social media channel is Instagram. I love looking at photos and videos related to interior design and getting inspiration for new recipes. The danger is that I can spend half an hour watching animal videos, blooper compilations and other nonsense. oops!

Question 6: What is your favorite music?

I listen to music throughout the day and then all sorts of things come along. I especially love Spanish music. I also like R&B, pop, dance and can sometimes be found at a techno festival. But at a party I can also go wild to faulty Dutch music.

Question 7: What is your favorite travel destination?

I find Croatia to be one of the most beautiful destinations in Europe. For me, it is the perfect combination of beautiful nature and vibrant cities. I also love Spain; the culture, the food, the music and of course the climate make it the ideal vacation destination for me.

Question 8: How did you like your first week at OMA?

I really enjoyed my first week. I was warmly welcomed by all colleagues and immediately noticed that it is a hard-working team where there is also room for sociability. I built up a theoretical basis during my studies in Communication Science and I am very much looking forward to putting this into practice in the near future.

Question 9: What will be your role within OMA?

I am an Online Marketer at OMA. This means I will be working on optimizing websites, plotting and analyzing Google and Social Ads, writing content and supporting clients.

Question 10: What are your specializations within OMA?

My interests within online marketing are very broad, so I want to develop myself on a broad level. Priority right now is in the area of SEO. In addition, I want to specialize in the area of online marketing within Pinterest.
