I asked him why that was.His answer, "Those certificates give confidence and show that an organization has knowledge."
When I then told him that you could just find the answers to the Google exams for the certificates in Google, he was staggering. High time to make you aware of this too!
To put it very briefly, a Google certificate is received when you pass the exam of a Google course.
This could include:
If you have indeed completed the course and passed the exam, then you have the knowledge.
One would say. Only unfortunately all the answer of the Google exams can be googled and you can find the answers on several website.
Check it out! There are even entire YouTube videos being made about it.
However, I do believe that every online marketer should have earned their certifications at some point. Not annually, because that takes too much time and practical experience is much more valuable.
In fact, I have experienced someone who had obtained all the Google Ads certifications but had never set up a Google Ads campaign.
Kind of crazy right? Okay ... on to the Google Partners!
A Google Partner is an organization that roughly meets 2 criteria:
Now I hear you thinking, "$10,000.00 is a big deal! Not quite.
Suppose you have an online marketing agency and you have brought in a number of clients who collectively spend $10,000 in Google Ads.
Chapeau, well done! But that doesn't directly say anything about your online marketing skills.
So if you are a kei in sales and you have passed Google's answers it is therefore possible to be considered a Google Partner.
Of course, you have to take what I say above with a grain of salt, because many of the organizations that are Google Partners obviously understand their business. After all, you don't just bring in clients who, even collectively, spend that much on Google Ads.
Enk are not trying to undercut anyone either, but mainly want to make it clear to you that you should not just fall for a logo or other form of accreditation.
After all, these may have been purchased or perhaps faked.
My advice is that you always ask for references and research the organization. Ask where the expertise lies, ask about what they have provided clients, and see what is being said about the organization on the Internet (on independent platforms, of course!).

I have tried several times to get the certificate but do not get beyond 65%.....
Hi Robert. What a shame, but as I point out in the article: don't just focus on the exam, go for the practical knowledge! That's where you really learn the most anyway.
I have been doing adwords campaigns for 12 years for my own restaurant and in my college days as an affilaite marketer did mega campaigns but never considered ever getting certified. Never saw the point; I can do it, it's not hard. Just like with Facebook ads; very user friendly setup.
Here's how it is. Experience > certificates!
