SVG
SVG stands for Scalable Vector Graphics. It is an XML-based file format used for displaying vector graphics. Unlike raster graphics, which consist of a grid of pixels and can therefore blur when scaled, SVG graphics retain their sharpness and quality regardless of the size at which they are displayed.
Applications of SVG images
SVG images are often used for graphics on Web sites, such as icons, logos, charts and illustrations. They are especially useful because they adapt to the size of the screen without losing image quality. In addition, SVG images can be edited using text editors or graphics programs and can be animated with CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) or JavaScript to create interactive Web experiences. SVG is thus an important format for Web design and interactive Web applications.
