Brazilian marketing is a form of marketing that originated in the South American country of Brazil. The country's local entrepreneurs wanted to promote their products in an original way. Brazilian marketing soon blew over to outside Brazil, and by the spring of 2024 it was a big trend on TikTok. Many small businesses stepped on the trend, but larger companies such as DHL, Schiphol Airport and Hema also used this effective way of advertising.
What is brazillian marketing?
Brazilian marketing is advertising in the form of a video. A video is shown in which a situation suddenly does not go according to plan, often someone falls. This creates (for example) a scare effect in the viewer. Exactly at the moment when the situation suddenly changes, the video with the entrepreneur in it is played. This video playfully refers to the video before it and tries to sell the viewer a product or service.
Why does Brazilian marketing work so well?
This marketing strategy takes advantage of people's innate curiosity. There is a need to discover how the story ends. This reduces the likelihood that people will not finish watching the video, increasing the impact of the message.
