It's not that we write these because it's easy content. No, there are a number of other reasons. In fact, we write them because of this.

Reason 1: I use it for my own development and knowledge

By reading, I learn very quickly. But by doing it and then writing it out, I learn even much faster.

That's a matter of doing it once and then I don't forget. Of course, I can also just write everything down on a notepad and then never look back at it. But I can also do it in a neat and structured way and work it into an e-book. That will be useful to you, too.

I also see it as a challenge. I turn something I can't do at all into a skill within no time AND write an e-book or blog about it.

Reason 2: We have one library where everyone at Online Marketing Agency can find the manuals

In case I do forget how to do something, we have a handy library that contains all the tutorials. This prevents unnecessary fumbling or unnecessary searching for blogs where it is explained.

But that doesn't just apply to me. It applies to everyone on team OMA. By putting all actions written out on our own website online, everyone can search for the most appropriate information 24/7.

I am of course talking about all employees, but also about all (future) interns. And especially for the latter group it is very useful, because of course they are 'new' every few months.

Oh and for you, of course. You could use that information, too, of course.

Reason 3: Customers can give us easy access without sharing passwords

This is by far the most important reason why we write online marketing related manuals. After all, we do it for our clients.

In fact, in many cases our clients have to give us access to all their tools. If you have to do that over the phone for 5 programs, it can easily take you an hour. With our manuals, customers can do this on their own time and they don't need us to do this.

And so we can usefully spend our hours doing the work that really matters. Those that really make an impact.

Reason 4: Good for our findability in Google

We do the manual writing not only for existing customers, but also for potential customers. In other words, new leads. In fact, writing those manuals makes us findable in Google on specific terms.

There have been a number of times when someone calls us in response to a manual asking, "Can you help us arrange access?

The answer is always, "Yes. And of course our revenue model is not in helping for a while, but it does happen from time to time that people ask what else we can do for them.

That, of course, is what you want.

Reason 5: Input for our monthly newsletter listing all blogs written

The most important content in our monthly newsletter concerns the blogs. Valuable articles that are really useful and can really help you. There are an average of 8 per month.

Well of course you can put a lot of time and effort into a good 4,000-word article, but you can also write a short and concise online marketing guide and think of that as a blog.

So do we! So is writing short and concise blogs a good SEO strategy? No, not necessarily. But with all the other reasons in this article, it is super helpful in this case.

Reason 6: Writing manuals is great fun to do

You may think this is a bit of a lame reason, but I personally find writing blogs and manuals terribly fun to do.

Where some go to read a book or go for a walk, others get to work on a new article or manual. And that, of course, is great. Because when you enjoy writing content, it saves you time, gets you customers (and therefore money). In short, then you're winning.
