Text structure
Text structure refers to the way a written text is organized and structured to convey information and ideas clearly to readers. It includes the introduction, which introduces the topic and sets the context. Then there is the main text, which consists of several paragraphs, each addressing a specific aspect of the topic. Within the text, transitions are used to create smooth transitions between thoughts and paragraphs, making the text easier to follow. The conclusion concludes the text by summarizing the main points and sometimes presenting a concluding thought.
Various aspects in text construction
A well-structured text also has a clear hierarchy of information, which can be emphasized using various visual elements such as headings, bullet points and numbering. The text can also be organized chronologically, causally or comparatively, depending on the purpose of the text. All these aspects contribute to the readability and effectiveness of the text.
